While the pop punk wave exploded in the early 2000's with bands such as New Found Glory and MXPX, it reached a slow decline by mid decade. However, it has seemingly resurfaced over the years to acknowledge that its existence has yet to simmer completely. Simple Plan even made a surprise come back and played Warped Tour this summer (Let's face it...pop punk is summertime music)!
The Good Age, from Ventura, CA can describe themselves as a pop punk band who is just trying to make a name for themsleves. One of their members, Jeff Dunne, has done some time on the road already, as he toured with Winds Of Plague as their guitar tech. While the genres differ, the music experience is priceless! In January, 2011, the band released their debut album,"Apologies in Advance," and if you haven't warmed up to the idea of downloading music yet, you can obtain a hardcopy of their album by going to http://thegoodage.bandcamp.com to grab their music!
The Good Age's music harkens back to the early days of New Found Glory. Their demo songs are posted on their Facebook page for streaming and 'sharing' and the band would love it you went and checked them out. While each member is chipping away at their education, they remain dedicated to practicing and may even look at transfering college to be closer to each other. Currently, two of them are on a European trip and can't wait to get home to jam out some new ideas!

I really like the song "A Dirty Mess" with its upbeat tempo... worth a listen!!
Their acoustic stuff like "You Don't know" is pretty tight too.
Look 'em up on YouTube.....
